Transporting Firearms with Household Goods
According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF): A person who lawfully possesses a firearm may transport or ship the firearm interstate when changing their state of residence.
If using a moving company, you must notify the mover that firearms are being transported.
Texas License to Carry
To get a Texas license to carry (LTC) a handgun you must be 21 or older unless active duty military and you must meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun.
