DoD Preferred Lodging
DoD Preferred lodging facilities are select commercial hotels located off installations that have been vetted to meet strict quality, safety, and security requirements. DoD Preferred properties offer rates below per diem, as well as additional traveler protections and conveniences at no additional cost.

Crash Pads
Military crash pads provide off-base housing rentals to Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve military members in many areas throughout San Antonio. Crash pads are typically family and/or veteran-owned, come fully-furnished with fully equipped kitchens, provide routine cleaning services and more. The only items you typically need to bring are your clothes and food.
